Premise

Chuck is a normal guy with a seeming inability to find his own dates. Fortunately, his older sister Ellie (Sarah Lancaster), is watching out for his interests. Chuck's college roommate, Bryce Larkin (Matthew Bomer) is killed after breaking into a secure facility and downloading the contents of a government computer designed to combine data from various intelligence agencies and cross connect the information. Before his death he emails Chuck the entire contents. After opening the email, Chuck is subjected to massive amount of image data which imprints on his brain.

Agent Sarah Walker of the CIA (Yvonne Strzechowski) is sent to collect Chuck's computer but in an encounter with Chuck and best friend, Morgan Grimes (Johsua Gomez), the computer is destroyed. Sarah decides to go undercover and ask Chuck out on a date to discover what, if anything he knows and what kind of man he is. They are attacked by NSA agents led by Major John Casey (Adam Baldwin) and the two opposing agents realize the information they seek is now in Chuck's head, making him a valuable commodity.

In the premier episode, Chuck uses the information in his head to successfully stop the assassination of an American general. Both agencies agree to cooperate to ensure Chuck's safety. He is allowed to go on with his normal life but he is now under vigilant watch.
