Chris Evans (b. June 13, 1981, Boston, Massachusetts) is an American actor best known for his role as Johnny Storm in the Fantastic Four movie and its sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Evans had an early interest in acting and began appearing in school plays an regional theatre in his youth. He moved to New York to study at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute. After landing an internship at a casting office, he made all the right connections getting an agent and launching his television and film career.
Evan's early roles include his film debut in 2000 in The Newcomers which also starred Kate Bosworth. He also appeared on the short-lived series The Opposite Sex' which also featured Milo Ventimiglia and Allison Mack. After more television appearances in The Fugitive and Boston Public he stuck mainly to film, appearing in Not Another Teen Movie, The Pefect Score and his break out film, Cellular. Higher profile roles followed with Fantastic Four, and another comic based film TMNT, The Nanny Diaries with Scarlett Johansson and a voice role in Terra.
In 2008, Evans will appear in the films The Night Watchman with Keanu Reeves, The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond with Bryce Dallas, the scifi thriller Push alongside Dakota Fanning, Djimon Hounsou and Joel Gretsch and Under the Blue Sky.
