Chiwetel Ejiofor (b. July 10, 1974, Forest Gate, London, England) is a Golden Globe-nominated English actor. Ejiofor was nominated for his roles in Kinky Boots (2005) and the TV movie, Tsunami: The Aftermath (2006). He made his film debut in Deadly Voyage alongside Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Omar Epps and followed up with Steven Spielberg's Amistad. Ejiofor has appeared in a number of notable roles including Dirty Pretty Things with Sophie Okonedo, Twelfth Night, or What You Will with Parminder Nagra, Love Actually and She Hate Me.
In 2005 made his genre debut in the film Serenity, portraying the amoral operative. He followed up with the dystopian thriller, Children of Men, once again playing a villainous role. In 2007, he starred alongside Don Cheadle, in Talk to Me and followed up with American Gangster with Denzel Washington.
Upcoming roles include Redbelt, Toussaint and Three Way Split.
