China, also the People's Republic of China (PRC), is one of the world's oldest civilizations, one of its largest countries and the most populous country in the world. China is home to the world's longest continuously used writing systems, it is also known as the place of origin for paper, pasta, and gunpowder. China has, for many centuries, been a cultural influence on its neighbors and increasingly, the world. China's modern incarnation is comprised of the Chinese mainland, the islands of Hong Kong, and Macau, known collectively as the People's Republic of China and the disputed territory of Taiwan and surrounding islands, known as Republic of China.
Like all ancient cultures, China has a rich literary culture with countless myths and legends. In the modern era, the Chinese entertainment industry has garnered increased international attention for its impressive films. China has approximately 15 well-known movie studios. Among the best known are Shanghai studio, Beijing studio and Changchun studio. Despite the impressive growth of China's film industry, many of the most popular films are foreign, particularly Hollywood productions. The ever-expanding entertainment sector includes theme parks, and other media.
Paranormal
