Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a 1964 children's book by Roald Dahl. The story focuses on the adventures of Charlie Bucket on his visit to a chocolate factory owned by eccentric candymaker, Willy Wonka. The novel was first brought to the big screen in the 1971 film Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. It was adapted once again in 2005's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The book had one sequel, Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator.
