Cell is a 2009 adaptation of Stephen King's novel of the same name .

Premise

A signal spreads through cell phone networks worldwide and starts an epidemic. All those affected by the signal turn into blood thirsty creatures. Aspiring artist, Clayton Riddell, finally gets a break in Boston and is overjoyed at the prospect of financial freedom. His dreams are derailed when "The Pulse" spreads and Clayton must join other survivors to ensure his own survival. Clayton attempts to make his way to New England home to his wife and son.
