Cassandra is a fictional character on the series Stargate SG-1. She first appeared in the episode "Singularity" as the sole survivor on her homeworld where the Goa'uld, Nirrti killed everyone else. She was literally a walking bomb intended to blow up the stargate on Earth. In theepisode she was played by Katie Stuart. Following the incidents of that episode, she was adopted by Dr. Janet Fraiser.

Cassandra's next episode, also played by Stuart, is "In the Line of Duty" where she senses that Samantha Carter has goa'uld symbiote inside her and becomes afraid.

In the episode 1969", SG-1 accidentally gates to a future world where an elderly Cassandra, played by actress Pamela Perry, greets the team and sends them back to their own time.

In the season 5 episode, "Rite of Passage, Cassandra, played by Colleen Rennison, developed paranormal powers including telekenesis but, was also dying as a result. Nirrti was captured by SG-1 and traded her freedom for saving Cassandra's life.

After Janet Fraiser's death, in "Heroes, Part 2 ", Samantha Carter became Cassandra's guardian. It is because of problems Cassandra was having, following her mother's death that Carter was absent from the first episodes of Season 9 (in actuality, actress Amanda Tapping was having a baby).
