Carrie Frances Fisher (b. October 21, 1956, Los Angeles, California) is an American actress best known for her role as princess Leia in the Star Wars film series. Fisher was born to actress Debbie Reynolds and singer Eddie Fisher. Sisters Tricia Leigh Fisher and Joely Fisher are also well known actors.

Fisher made hr film debut in the comedy Shampoo and followed up with Star Wars which would make her a household name. Other notable films include Frankenstein, The Time Guardian, When Harry Met Sally..., Drop Dead Fred, Hook, Wonderland, and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle.
