Carrie is a 1976 film from director Brian De Palma. The film is based on Stephen King's premier novel of the same name and stars Sissy Spacek in the title role of Carrie White, a quiet and emotionally abused girl with telekinetic abilities. Spacek earned an Academy Award nomination for her performance as did Piper Laurie who played her mother in the film.
