Cardwell

Tragic circumstances brought Cardwell as a young man to the shores of Sanctum where he was quickly enslaved. But he escaped his bonds and threw his lot in with a band of murderers and cutpurses. He learned his craft from some of the deadliest killers in Sanctum, honing his skills by preying upon the island’s controlling faction and hapless citizens. Cardwell has become an accomplished thief. He belongs to a notorious guild that goes by the name of -- The Black Claw. He hates the hierophant and his enclave of necromancers who control the island of eternal night with an iron fist, and he bides his time in the underworld beneath Sanctum’s dark cities, waiting for the right moment to strike against them. His painful past has made him bitter and he rationalizes his current situation as being the only viable option of a shattered life.
