Cardcaptor Sakura

<span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>

Cardcaptor Sakura (Kādokyaputā Sakura), also known as CardCaptors and often abbreviated as CCS. Cardcaptor Sakura is published in Japan by Kodansha and was serialized in Nakayoshi. The series consists of twelve volumes. It won the noted Seiun Award for best manga in 2001.

The story involves a young girl named Sakura, who hears a strange noise one day while home alone. She goes down to her father's library and finds a book, the book of clow. When she opens it, it lets out clow cards. These cards each have a personal spirit and power. Also released is Kero, the guardian of the clow. He helps Sakura with catching the cards.

Adaptations

The books were adapted into an anime series, which was also re-edited and shown in the United States as Cardcaptors.
