Following the defeat of Anubis, Camulus arranged a meeting with the Tau'ri to discuss a treaty. He was joined by fellow System Lords Amaterasu and Lord Yu. The treaty would give them use of the weapon used to destroy Anubis fleet which they would used to destroy Baal. Dr. Weir refused to aid them and Camulus requested asylum on Earth.
Camulus was imprisoned at Area 51 until Baal offered to trade SG-1, who he claimed to have imprisoned, for him. Camulus was brought to Stargate Command where he offered them his services. He helped SG-3 recover a ZPM. When SGC scientists studied the module, they discovered it had been tainted by Camulus. Once exposed to an electrical current, it would have immediately exploded destroying the planet and much of the solar system.
O'Neill convinced Camulus to return to Baal and offer him the tainted ZPM in an attempt to destroy him and in exchange for SG-1. Unbeknownst to Camulus, O'Neill had the tainted ZPM switched for the empty one from Proclarush Taonas. SG-1 was not returned, as Baal never had them. Camulus' fate is uncertain but it is likely Baal tortured and killed him.
