Specialist Callandra "Cally" Tyrol nee Henderson is a fictional character on the series Battlestar Galactica played by Nicki Clyne. Cally is a deckhand under the command of Chief Master Sergeant Galen Tyrol. She is responsible for the repair and maintenance of Vipers and Raptors. Initially intended to be a minor character, Cally's presence grew and he became a recurring character.

Spoiler Warning: Plot details and/or information about the ending follow. If you wish to enjoy the work first, stop reading here and return at another time.

Cally first appeared in the miniseries but she gained prominence in "Bastille Day" when she was assigned to visit the Astral Queen to enlist volunteers from the prisoners to recover water from a frozen moon. Cally became a hostage when the prisoners took over the vessel and one of the prisoners, Mason, attempted to rape her. She responded by biting off his ear and he, in turn, shot her. Despite her bravery and ability to take care of herself, Cally had no intention of being a deckhand long term. She signed on to the military only to pay for dental school.

Cally is fiercely loyal to Chief Tyrol and Galactica. After news of Boomer/Sharon Valerii's attack on Commander Adama and her revelation as a Cylon, Cally took vengeance on her own and killed Sharon. She was charged with negligent discharge of a firearm and sentenced to 30 days in the brig.

Suffering from stress, Chief Trol began sleepwalking. He accidentally attacked and severely beat Cally. She survived the incident and admitted that she loved Tyrol. A year later, the two were married and Cally became pregnant with their child. The couple settled on New Caprica and she gave birth to a son, Nicholas.

Cally was placed on a list of insurgents to be executed by the Cylons as an example to the colonists. She was released by Jammer before the execution could take place and rescued by the resistance. After the fleet left New Caprica, Cally returned to Galactica where she and Galen had marital difficulties. When he arranged for them to work together just so they could spend some time together, the couple became trapped in a room, that began leaking atmosphere. They were rescued at great risk to their lives.

When the fleet arrived in the Lionshead Nebula, Cally began suffering from depression and insomnia. She also suspected her husband was having an affair when he began spending more and more time away from her. She followed him and witnessed his meeting with Tory Foster and accused him. After finding a note left for him by Tigh, she followed him to a weapons locker and witnessed a secret meeting with Tigh and Tory in which their conversation revealed all three were Cylons.

Tyrol later returned to their quarters and Cally attacked him, knocking him unconscious. She later attempted to commit suicide with her son in a Galactica air lock. Tory talked her out of it and took Nicky before blowing Cally out the airlock.
