Caitlín R. Kiernan

Caitlín R. Kiernan (b. 1964) was born in Ireland and lives in Atlanta with her partner, Kathryn, and her cat, Sophie. Trained as a vertebrate paleontologist, she continues her research on Cretaceous vertebrates in her spare time.
Kiernan is the author of the following novels: Silk, Threshold, The Five of Cups, Low Red Moon, and Murder of Angels. Her short fiction has been collected in four volumes, Tales of Pain and Wonder, From Weird and Distant Shores, Wrong Things (with Poppy Z. Brite), and To Charles Fort, with Love.
She also scripted the comic The Dreaming for DC/Vertigo, along with the miniseries The Girl Who Would Be Death and Bast: Eternity Game. She is currently working on her sixth novel, Daughter of Hounds, and a collection of “weird erotica” entitled Frog Toes and Tentacles.
