Burt Ward (July 6, 1945 Los Angeles, California - ) is an American actor.
Burt Ward became suddenly (and lastingly) famous for his portrayal of Dick Grayson (better known as Robin, the Boy Wonder) in the 1960s Batman TV series. He would return to the character (or a parody of the character) throughout the next several decades, notably voicing Robin in cartoon series (including on The Simpsons).
His other genre appearances have included less well-known roles in movies such as Beach Babes from Beyond and Robot Ninja.
He has recognized the impact playing Robin has had, and has been fan friendly. He wrote an autobiography, Boy Wonder: My Life in Tights (with Stanley Ralph Ross) ISBN 978-0964704800.
Ward's Boy Wonder Visual Effects company was begun in 2001.
Outside of acting, Burt Ward is known for his charity work with animals, especially dogs.
