Burgess Meredith

<span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>

Burgess Meredith (November 16, 1907 Cleveland, Ohio - September 9, 1997) was an American actor.

In a career that spanned the acclaimed drama Of Mice and Men (1939) through the comedy sequel Grumpier Old Men and beyond, he may be best known as The Penguin on the Adam West Batman TV series. With his trademark quacking laugh and his waddling walk, Batman's television avian arch-enemy was one of the most memorable in a pantheon of wild bat villians.

Genre fans also hold his several appearances on the original Twilight Zone in high esteem.

So Far, So Good: A Memoir was his 1994 autobiography. ISBN 978-0316567176
