Bruce Joel Rubin

Bruce Joel Rubin (b. March 10, 1943, Detroit, Michigan) is an American screenwriter and producer. Rubin may be best known as the writer and producer of the film Ghost for which he won an Academy Award. Rubin made his feature film writing debut with the 1983 scifi thriller Brainstorm. He followed up with more genre films; Deadly Friend in 1986, Jacob's Ladder in 1990, Deep Impact (1998), Stuart Little 2 (2002) and The Last Mimzy (2007). In 2007, he adapted the Audrey Niffenegger novel The Time Traveler's Wife. The movie debuts in 2008 and stars Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams.
