Brooklyn is one of the five boroughs of New York City, New York. While sometimes thought of as neighborhoods, the boroughs are more like independent cities that were joined together, and may have neighborhoods within them.

Brooklyn is considered to have a distinctive culture (including an accent), and characters from Brooklyn have been use in Sci Fi works.

It is the birthplace of Alyssa Milano, Louis Gossett Jr. and Richard Dreyfus.
