British)
United Kingdom also referred to as the UK, Great Britain or Britain is a country off the northwest coast of Europe. It is a political union comprised of the countries England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Other territories include Gibraltar, Saint Helena and the Falkland Islands. The most populated region is England.
The UK has a successful and much respected film industry that has produced such films as Village_Of_The_Damned (1960), Fahrenheit 451 (1966), 28 Days Later, and A Clockwork Orange. Britain has also hosted American productions such as The Fifth Element and Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles.
Popular British authors include Simon Clark, Michael Moorcock, and Anthony Burgess.
The UK has a rich history of paranormal events and investigators. The Loch Ness Monster is the most famous lake monster in the world. In fact, any local cryptid may find itself categorized as a "Loch Ness Monster". While the modern UFO/flying saucer era began with an American sighting (by Kenneth Arnold in 1947), UFOs and the UK also go together. In particular, there is the Warminster Thing and the Rendlesham Forest Incident. Witches, magic, and spiritualism, both current and older, are part of the misty landscape.
