Brian De Palma

Brian Russell De Palma (b. September 11, 1940, Newark, New Jersey) is an American director, producer, and screenwriter. Among De Plama's best known genre projects are Carrie which he produced, and directed, The Fury,Mission: Impossible and Mission to Mars. De Palma may be better known as the director of Scarface, The Untouchables, Carlito's Way and The Black Dahlia.

De Palma also wrote and directed the cult favorite Phantom of the Opera/Faust modernization, Phantom of the Paradise, for which he was nominated for a Writer's Guild of America award.
