Brent Stait is a Canadian actor born in The Pas, Manitoba, Canada on September 9, 1959. He is a prolific actor who has appeared in several scifi series and films. His first TV appearance was in a 1988 episode of "Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future". He also guest starred on 21 Jump Street , Highlander, and The X-Files.

In 1997 he starred as Louis Ferretti in the Stargate SG-1 pilot episode "'Children of the Gods". He also appeared in the series' season one finale, "Within the Serpent's Grasp. In 2000 he became a series regular on Andromeda in the role of Rev Bem. He left the series due to an allergic reaction to his hairy costume.

Other scifi series credits include guest appearances on Viper, Poltergeist: The Legacy, The Outer Limits, Seven Days, First Wave, Mysterious Ways, Taken, The Sentinel, Battlestar Galactica, The 4400, Stargate Atlantis and Blade: The Series. He has appeared in the films, Hostile Force, Titanic, Intensity, The Virginian, and Mystery, Alaska.
