Dr. Brendan Gall is a fictional character on the series Stargate Atlantis portrayed by Richard Ian Cox. Gall was a scientist and one of the original Atlantis Expedition team members. Gall and Dr. Abrams joined John Sheppard and Rodney McKay on a mission to discover an oribtal Ancient weapons platform. They were drawn to investigate a Wraith distress symbol on a nearby planet.
On the planet they discovered a downed Wraith Cruiser and a Wraith commander still alive. Abrams was killed and Gall was fed on and forced to reveal the existence of their puddle jumper. Gall was left alive forcing McKay to stay behind to tend to him. Realizing that McKay wanted and needed to assist Sheppard even if it meant overcoming his overwhelming sense of self preservation, Gall killed himself, realizing the Wraith had already taken most of his years.
