Brannon Braga (August 14, 1965) is and American producer and screenwriter born in Bozeman, Montana. He is best known for his work on Star Trek and was an executive producer of Star Trek: Enterprise and the creator of the short-lived CBS series, Threshold.
Braga studied Theater Arts and Filmmaking at Kent State and the University of California at Santa Cruz. Early in his career, he produced music videos before turning his attention to television. He joined the writing staff of Star Trek: The next Generation in 1990, writing the episode "Reunion" with Ronald D. Moore. Also with Moore, he wrote the series finale "All Good Things...". They won a Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation for their work. Braga also worked with Moore on the script for Star Trek: Generations and Star Trek: First Contact. He and Moore also collaborated on the screenplay of Mission: Impossible II.
When The Next Generation ended in 1994, Braga took on the challenge of producing Star Trek: Voyager. His professional relationship with Moore ended negatively and Moore left the series after producing only two episodes. Voyager ran for seven seasons and Braga became the show's executive producer.
Following Voyager, Braga worked with writer Rick Berman on another Star Trek series, Star Trek: Enterprise. The series suffered poor ratings and Braga eventually made Manny Coto lead writer in the series' fourth season. The poor ratings eventually led to the series cancellation after season four.
Braga went on to develop Threshold. He served as the executive producer and also wrote the episode "The Burning". The series was canceled on November 23, 2005 before completing its first season.
