Bounty is episode 12 of Stargate SG-1 Season 10.
Summary
Vala and Cameron Mitchell attend his high school reunion where he finds himself the target of an alien bounty hunter, Odai Ventrell. Odai aims to capture SG-1.
Plot
After yet another shipment of Lucian Alliance kassa is destroyed by SG-1, Netan is determined to see them all dead lest they further undermine his authority and make him look week. He places a bounty on their heads causing several bounty hunters to head for Earth.
Mitchell is planning to attend his high school reunion and Vala pleads with him for the opportunity to attend as his date. He reluctantly agrees and the pair make their way to Kansas. Mitchell's parents mistakenly believe he and Vala are dating however his interests lie with former classmate, Amy Vandenberg, a woman he wished he had dated in his youth.
While on a Jaffa planet, Teal'c and friend Cha'ra are attacked and Teal'c suffers a minor injury. Teal'c formulates a plan to put out word of his survival and see who appears to finish him off. He is later attacked by a cloaked stranger who is quickly subdued. The would-be-assassin initially appears to be another Jaffa but the tattoo on his forehead proves to be in erasable ink.
While working at the Museum of Antiquities, Daniel is approached by a woman who flirts with him. He rejects her offer to help him. Frustrated at his negative response to her offer to be alone together, she begins shooting at him with a Goa'uld weapon. Daniel runs away but she manages to get ahead of him using teleportation technology. She threatens a woman with a baby to gain his cooperation and Daniel surrenders. Seconds later, his pursuer is hit by a bus.
Sam and Dr. Lee attend a scientific conference where he is presenting a plasma canon, altered to appear imperfect in performance. Sam intends to show off the latest advances in holographic projection technology. A call from General Landry informs her off Daniel's experience but she doubts any threat to herself. During her presentation, a sniper in the balcony fires at her but the shot passes through the holographic projection. Sam takes possession of the plasma and uses it to take out the sniper to the thrill of the unsuspecting audience.
General Landry makes several calls to Mitchell attempting to warn him of the threat to him and Vala but the connection proves poor. At the reunion Vala recognizes the bounty hunter out to get Mitchell and assumes he's after her. The hunter, Odai Ventrell, uses a device to mimic General Landry and advises him to send backup as he hopes to capture the entire team. Vala attempts to attack Ventrell but fails and he seals the gym with all the partiers inside.
Sam contacts Ventrell to inform him that they will surrender after he releases the hostages. He agrees on condition that SG-1 enters first. The rest of the team rings beams down to the gym and are herded into the center of the room. Moments later, Ventrell is ringed up into his own ship where he is, to his surprise, met by SG-1 at gun point. Sam used holographic technology to make it appear they had beamed in.
Ventrell warns SG-1 that others will come after them but they are certain that the failures thus far will reflect poorly on Netan. Some time later, on Netan's ship, an intruder takes out his guards and attempts to kill him before being shot by Ventrell. Netan offers a reward but Ventrell makes it clear that the reward will be paid by someone else for Netan.
