Biomechanoid

<span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>

Biomechanoid refers to a fictional creature typically an advanced organism that either emulates machinery or is a technology composed of organic components. Well known examples are Leviathans from the series Farscape, living spacefaring bioships intelligent and independent of the life forms that travel within them.

Other biomechanoids may include Cylons from the series Battlestar Galactica, a technological, artificially intelligent race that develops a human-form nearly indistinguishable from humans.
