Biodreads, Lord Dread's main weapon in the battle against Captain Power, proved to be the demise of one of the central characters on the show.
Although Tritor appeared in the "training videos", Soaron and Blastarr were the mainstay of the television series. Created with the ability to "digitize" a victim, each was capable of storing a human body in digital format for later use. They were also heavily armed, able to damage and deplete Powersuits to the point of shutdown.
Blastarr, the bulk metal warrior in service to Lord Dread, used brute strength to battle Captain Power's team. Not the smartest biodread in the empire, Blastarr was not always proficient at following orders, thus complicating Lord Dread's drive for total world domination.
Soaron, the sleek bird-like companion to Blastarr, appeared to be the more intuitive of the pair and a favorite of Lord Dread. Soaron's ability to fly present a formidable challenge to Captain Power's team - in particular, Major Hawk Masterson and when the team was aboard the XT-7.
Both Blastarr and Soaron could be severely damaged in skirmishes with Captain Power's team, but they had the ability to regenerate their bodies after a certain amount of time. Neither appeared to ever be critically damaged. The only exception is that the fate of Blastarr is unknown after Power's mountain base is destroyed by Corporal Jennifer Chase in order to secure it from Lord Dread.
The cantankerous relationship between these two biodreads presented rather humorous moments on the show, much like a sibling rivalry.
