Dr. Bill Lee is a fictional character on the series Stargate SG-1 portrayed by Bill Dow. Lee is a civilian scientist working at Stargate Command whose main focus is figuring out the function of alien technologies. Lee first appeared in the episode "Prodigy" as one of several scientists on a mission to M4C-862 where they discovered alien light bugs able to pass through solid matter.
Lee had a more prominent role accompanying Dr. Daniel Jackson to Honduras where they discovered an Ancient healing device but were captured by revolutionaries who tortured them both, forcing Bill to reveal the purpose of the device. They both managed to escape and rescued by Jack O'Neill and C.I.A. operative, Burke.
Lee was later assigned to the Midway station, the halfway point in the Intergalactic gate bridge. Lee worked with Colonel Samantha Carter in getting the station up and running and later oversaw operations there. Lee escaped the station's destruction with Kavanagh, Rodney McKay and John Sheppard after it became overrun by the Wraith ("Midway").
