Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey is the 1991 sequel to Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. The film was directed by Peter Hewitt and written by Chris Matheson, and Ed Solomon. Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves returned in their roles as Bill & Ted, future musicians who will ultimately bring about world peace. The movie opened on July 19, 1991.

Plot

Bill and Ted are killed by an evil robot from the future, sent to do them in by the evil DiNomolos. Their deaths will ultimately unravel the Utopian future which the music they have yet to create will bring about. Bill and Ted must challenge the Grim Reaper, escape Hell, have a chat with God, and return to the land of the living and rescue their girlfriends so they can win the Battle of the Bands and save the future.
