Beauty and the Beast is a 1987 American TV series that aired on CBS. The series starred Linda Hamilton as wealthy New York Assistant District Attorney Catherine Chandler and Ron Perlman as Vincent, a lion faced society outcast who lives in a Utopian society in the tunnels beneath the city. The two meet and form a strong bond and Vincent became Catherine's protector.
