Battle of the Line

<span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>

The Battle of the Line was the final battle of the Earth-Minbari War in the Babylon 5 TV series. The Minbari forces had overwhelmed Earth's military and advanced all the way to Earth. The name of this battle comes from a speech by the Earth Alliance president. Fearing the extinction of the Human race, the president made an impassioned plea to all remaining Earth Force military to "hold the line against the night." Over 25,000 Earth Force personnel took part in this battle. Less than 200 of them survived. Just before what would have surely been their most decisive victory over the Humans, the Minbari suddenly and mysteriously surrendered. The explanation behind that surrender was a closely guarded secret for many years.

It's usually best to give a very general overview to a story first, then plot details. When including the plot or essential details in your article (which could ruin the pleasure of discovery for some readers), it is important to include the spoiler tag before any give-away material.
