Balticon is a four-day convention held annually on Memorial Day weekend (late May) in or near Baltimore, Maryland. Founded in 1966, Balticon is run by the Baltimore Science Fiction Society and is a literature convention featuring authors and other guests. It includes musical performances, author talks and readings, discussions, a masquerade (which is a costume contest), live theater, dances, and film presentations.
