Back to the Future Part III (1990) is the third and final film in the Back to the Future film franchise. Robert Zemeckis directed with Bob Gale as screenwriter.

Plot

Dr. Emmet Brown becomes stuck in the year 1855 when his time traveling DeLorean is damaged by a lightning strike. He buries the ship for Marty to find in 1955 and sends a message to Marty to try and get the help of Emmet's younger self to repair the machine. Marty visits 1855 to rescue Doc Brown from the hands of the Tannen Clan. They run into trouble when the DeLorean's gas tank is punctured and they must find another means other than gasoline to power the vehicle.
