BBC

<span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>

(Redirected from BBC-TV)

The British Broadcasting Corporation, or BBC, is a state-owned organization which develops and controls much of the radio and TV that is broadcast in the British Isles.

There are regional stations and there are also a number of stations whose broadcasts are available throughout the whole of the British Isles.

Programs on the BBC are run commercial-free; the BBC is funded by television licences (a.k.a. broadcast received licences), which are annual fees paid in the UK by all owners of television and radio receivers. This is one of the reasons that BBC programs have most often been run in the USA on PBS stations, since commercial networks would have to insert commercial breaks into programs that aren't designed for them.

It's usually best to give a very general overview to a story first, then plot details. When including the plot or essential details in your article (which could ruin the pleasure of discovery for some readers), it is important to include the spoiler tag before any give-away material.
