Atom Man vs. Superman

<span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>

Atom Man vs. Superman is a serial.

It reunited much of the same cast and crew from the earlier Superman (serial), including Kirk Alyn as Superman, Noel Neill as Lois Lane, and Tommy Bond as Jimmy Olsen.

It adds Lyle Talbot as "Luthor", who is clearly Lex Luthor. He is described as a "renegade scientist" and is bald.

As in the earlier serial, the effect of Superman flying is accomplished by using a cartoon version of the Man of Steel. The cartoon is also used when Superman breaks down a cave wall.

Spoiler Warning: Plot details and/or information about the ending follow. If you wish to enjoy the work first, stop reading here and return at another time.

Chapters

1. Superman Flies Again

Luthor threatens to destroy Metropolis. In the first chapter, Luthor attempts to destroy a bridge with sound waves. Superman holds it steady while a person who has driven onto it is rescued by the police.

Luthor is arrested and put in prison. However, he has invented a transporter device, somewhat similar to the one used in Star Trek. With it, he is able to be beamed out of his solitary confinement cell to direct criminal activities, and be replaced again before his absence is noticed.

13. Atom Man's Flying Saucers
