The Asgard computer core is the legacy of the Asgard imparted to Earth and installed on board the Earth-ship, Odyssey. The core contains the complete history and knowledge of the Asgard, interactive holograms of every Asgard, an independent power source, matter replication technology, and time-dilation technology.
Shortly after its installation the core had to be shut down as its power source proved easily detectable by the Ori. The time dilation was put to use in the SG-1 series finale "Unending" allowing the team to fend off an Ori attack and give themselves years to derive a solution to their imminent deaths while mere seconds passed outside the dilation field.
The matter replication technology is able to create anything with existing specifications in the core. In Stargate: The Ark of Truth, IOA agent James Marrick took advantage of the computer's flexibility to create a Replicator programmed to his specifications. As the core already contained data on the Replicators, neither Marrickn or the program's creators needed any significant knowledge on how replicators are designed. The core was able to fill in the blanks based on general information.
