Plot

Carter and Mitchell are accidentally shifted into another dimension by an Ancient technology recovered from Glastonbury Tor. They are able to see and hear everything but are unable to communicate their dilemma to Dr. Bill Lee whose theories on what happened prove frustratingly inaccurate. Teal'c and SG-9 visit the Sodan planet where they discover the Sodan people were all attacked and wiped out by Volnek who has been transformed into a rampaging, impervious, zombie by a Prior following the Sodan's refusal to accept Origin. Mitchell, invisible and believing he can help, goes through the stargate to help Teal'c while Carter and Daniel try to discover how to use the technology and ultimately discover that the device was created by Merlin to hide research he did on creating a weapon that neutralizes ascended beings.
