Plot

When an asteroid the size of Texas is discovered to be on a collision course with Earth, NASA calls in an oil-drilling team of misfits to save the planet. their goal is to land on the asteroid and drill down to a depth of 800 feet and plant a nuclear weapon they hope will split the asteroid in two pieces causing it to miss the planet entirely.
