Argos is a planet in the Milky Way Galaxy once ruled by the goa'uld Pelops. The planet features beautiful landscapes and ideal weather. The architecture is similar to that of Greece.

For several generations, the Argosians lived for only one hundred days due to nanocytes in their blood stream that sped their aging process. It was one of Pelops' abandoned experiments. Pelops never returned to the planet.

When SG-1 visited, Jack O'Neill became infected with the nanocytes and began to age rapidly. The source was discovered and Jack managed to destroy the transmitter that controlled the nanocytes allowing the Argosians a full human life span.
