Argentina or Argentine Republic is a South American country and the second largest country on the continent. It is bordered by Paraguay and Bolivia to the north, Brazil and Uruguay to the northeast and Chile to the west. The country's capital is its largest city, Buenos Aires.

Argentina is a major producer of film. It is the birthplace of animated feature films, first made and released in the country by Quirino Cristiani in 1917.
