Archie's Weird Mysteries is an animated TV series starring the Archie comic book characters. The stories differ from those of the comics and are meant to be scary drawing on elements of the X-Files.

Archie Andrews and the gang (Betty, Veronica, Reggie and Jughead) investigate strange happenings in Riverdale, and Archie writes a column about it for the school paper. More Buffy than Scooby Doo, these supernatural happenings are real. Dilton Doiley, the science geek in the comics, has a prominent role here.

The show is contemporary, and even though many of the settings and characters from the comics are represented, so are computer-oriented plot lines, like a virtual reality circus.

Several Sci Fi themes are present, from werewolves to blobs to 50-foot teenagers.
