Anthony Timpone

Anthony Timpone (b. 1963) is the long-time editor of both Fangoria magazine and its sister website (fangoria.com). He is the author of Men, Makeup and Monsters, which the New York Public Library named one of the “Best for the Teen Age 1997”. He also edited Fangoria Vampires, Fangoria Masters of the Dark: Stephen King and Clive Barker, Fangoria’s 100 Best Horror Films You’ve Never Seen and Fangoria’s Best Horror Films. During the early 1990s, he helped guide the first three Fango movies for Columbia/TriStar Home Video: Mindwarp, Children of the Night and Severed Ties, and in 2004, he served as a producer on the five-hour documentary series The 100 Scariest Movie Moments. He currently serves as a producer at Fangoria TV and as an acquisitions chief for Fangoria’s three video/DVD labels: Fangoria Presents GoreZone, Fangoria International and Fangoria’s Midnight Classics. For Koch Vision, he co-created and co-produced the Fangoria Blood Drive, a short film search and magazine-format DVD hosted by Rob Zombie. For television, he was a consulting producer for the Horror Hall of Fame special and served on the award show’s Board of Directors. Timpone has been a frequent media spokesman for the horror industry, appearing on MTV, Nightline, Geraldo, Entertainment Tonight, Showbiz Today, CBS Evening News and many more, as well as numerous documentaries such as Horror Business, The Many Lives of Jason Voorhees, Halloween: A Cut Above the Rest, Haunters, Full Tilt Boogie and Hollywood’s Creepiest Creatures.
