Anthony Hinds (b. 1922) British writer and producer, the son of Hammer’s co-founder William Hinds (aka Will Hammer, 1887-1957). Along with Michael Carreras, he was responsible for defining "Hammer Horror" during the 1950s and early ’60s before becoming one of the studio’s most prolific scriptwriters under the pseudonym "John Elder".
