Answerbacks

<span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>

Answerbacks are two-part (or more) quotations from movies, TV, and so on. Without giving any context, one fan will say the first part to another fan, who is expected to respond with the second part. It can be a way to confirm that the second fan is into the same things as the first fan. A proper response may get a smile, nod, or other congratulations. The quotation chain may be commenting on the current real-life situation.
