Anna Kay Faris (b. November 29, 1976, Baltimore, Maryland) is an American actress known for her comedic roles. Faris grew up in Edmonds, Washington and attended University of Washington where she earned a degree in English literature. After college, she headed for London where she planned to act and write but returned after making the 1999 film Lovers Lane. In Los Angeles she made her comedy debut in the horror spoof Scary Movie which proved a hit and was immediately followed by three sequels. In between Scary Movie sequels, Faris appeared in the comedic fantasy The Hot Chick, the hit comedy Friends and the Academy Award-nominated Brokeback Mountain.
In 2006, Faris appeared in My Super Ex-Girlfriend with Uma Thurman and Luke Wilson. In 2008, she completed Kids in America, The House Bunny and Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel.
