Anise is a member of the Tok'ra in the SCI FI Channel's series Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis.
Anise is a driven, self-motivated scientist and archeologist who discovered the Atoniek armbands. Anise was interested in Daniel Jackson. Her host, Freya, has a much different personality. Freya was interested in Jack O'Neill, but he rebuffed her advances. Where Anise was single-minded in her approach to her work, Freya had a softer approach.
Dr. Janet Fraiser took issue with Anise's decision to test the Atoniek armbands on SG-1. Anise's lack of complete knowledge of the bands placed SG-1's health and well-being at risk. She also withheld information regarding how much she knew of the bands' operation until after the team had already begun using them.
Fan Response
She is known in fan circles as "Tok'ra Barbie" or "Tok'ra Spice" due to the studio's creation of her solely as a romantic interest for the two lead actors, and dressing her in skin-tight leather, while no other Tok'ra wore anything similar. She was subsequently written out.
