Andromeda is a 2000 TV series based on the work of Gene Roddenberry. The series starred Kevin Sorbo as Captain Dylan Hunt, captain of the starship Andromeda Ascendant. The ship was one of many in the Systems Commonwealth military. When the Nietzcheans turned against the Commonwealth and went to war, Andromeda and Dylan became trapped on the edge of a black hole, frozen in time for three hundred years.

Three hundred years later, the Commonwealth has fallen and salvager Beka Valentine, captain of the Eureka Maru rescue the ship. Dylan finds the universe very different from the one he left. It is a chaotic mess and he's determined to fix it and re-establish the Commonwealth. Beka, engineer Seamus Harper, and Nietzchean, Tyr Anasazi, and Rev Bem become a part of his crew as he struggles to return order to the universe.

It's usually best to give a very general overview to a story first, then plot details. When including the plot or essential details in your article (which could ruin the pleasure of discovery for some readers), it is important to include the spoiler tag before any give-away material.
