Andrew Adamson (b. December 1, 1966, Auckland, New Zealand) is an Oscar-nominated director, screenwriter, and producer best known for his work on the first two Shrek films. He provided the story and executive produced Shrek the Third but did not direct. Adamson made his live-action directorial debut in 2005 with the adaptation of the classic The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. He also directed the film's sequel The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian which debuts in 2008.
Before turning to directing, Adamson worked as a visual effects supervisor on Batman Forever and its sequel Batman & Robin. He also worked as a technical director on Toys.
