Amonet and Apophis mated in a successful attempt to create a harcesis child whom Apophis could use a host. The child, Shifu possessed all the knowledge of the Goa'uld and was delivered on Abydos by Daniel Jackson.
Shortly after his birth, Amonet took the child and hid him from Apophis leading him to believe he'd been taken by Heru'ur. Amonet returned for Shifu a year after his birth. She sent him to Kheb with one of her handmaidens. Amonet was killed by Teal'c when she attacked and attempted to kill Daniel with a Goa'uld hand device. Sha're was able to communicate to Daniel through the device, telling him where she had hidden Shifu.
