The name The Amazing Screw-On Head pretty much says it all. Even in the medium of comics, which has given us heroes who spend their strips dreading existence and villains dressed like penguins, this comic and animated online program is unique.

Created and drawn by Mike Mignola (who also created the comic Hellboy), The Amazing Screw-On Head tells the tale of a disembodied head known as . . . The Amazing Screw-On Head. He (or it) is a spy for President Abraham Lincoln, and he screws his head into various bodies during his assignments.

Amazing's archenemy is Emperor Zombie, his manservant is Mr. Groin, and his talking dog is Mr. Dog.

Nothing too bizarre.

SCIFI.COM created an animated series based on the comic, with an amazing cast: Paul Giamiatti, David Hyde Pierce, and Molly Shannon. Guess they wanted to make sure there was enough angst in the recording room.
