Amando De Ossorio (April 6, 1918 – January 13, 2001) Spanish writer/director best known for his quartet of “Blind Dead” films, about a group of zombie Knights Templarios: Tombs of the Blind Dead (1971), Return of the Evil Dead (1973), Horror of the Zombies (1974) and Night of the Seagulls (1975). His other credits include Malenka The Niece of the Vampire (1968) and Night of the Sorcerers (1973). Following years of poor health, his death was prematurely announced in 1996.
